TGK Community is not a comments section bolted onto content. It is a structured discussion space built for people who want to think clearly, disagree honestly, and sharpen arguments rather than perform identity.
What Makes This Different
- You are expected to address ideas rather than posture for a crowd.
- If you challenge a person directly, you must first state their position fairly.
- Rejections of a Steel Man require a public written reason, not a silent click.
- Pseudonyms are allowed, but accountability is still built into the architecture.
- The point is better thinking, not louder certainty.
Read Access and Post Access
TGK Community discussion spaces are publicly readable. Posting and replying are for members, with participation opening from Initiate upwards. That is intentional. The room is meant to stay open enough to be seen and selective enough to hold a standard.
The One Rule to Learn First
If you use Challenge when replying to a person, begin with a Steel Man summary. State the strongest reasonable version of what they are saying before you argue against it.
This is the cultural hinge of the whole room. It slows distortion, punishes lazy disagreement, and forces members to prove they understood the point before contesting it.
Choose the Right Room
- Standard discussion rooms: use these for discussion around published TGK work.
- Open Threads: use these for current events, philosophy, media criticism, and questions beyond the published catalogue.
- Speak to Zoe: use this for direct questions about reasoning, life history, editorial judgement, and the build of TGK.
- Investigate with The Keymaker: use this for leads, anomalies, documents, and things that do not add up.
What Happens If You Get It Wrong
The system is designed to correct before it punishes. A weak Steel Man can be rejected publicly. A weak lead can be parked. A poor post can be challenged, redirected, or moderated. The aim is not humiliation. The aim is to protect the quality of the room.
