Season I of The Afterlife reads the world’s most enduring traditions as a single comparative body of knowledge. Each episode maps a different cosmology of death, judgement, transformation, and return, yet all speak to the same underlying truth: death is not annihilation, but passage.

The season moves from classical doctrine toward esoteric interior experience across thirteen episodes. Twelve traditions are mapped — Christianity given two, one for the proclaimed doctrine, one for the interior tradition it tried to suppress. The season arrives finally at the question that cannot be avoided: what are the modern visionary realms, and what does it mean that they mirror everything that came before?
