The Gospel of Mary — a revelation of the soul’s ascent, spoken through the voice of Mary Magdalene.
🌹 About This Text
The Gospel of Mary survives only in fragmentary form, yet it remains one of the most significant texts associated with early Gnostic and non-orthodox Christian traditions. Preserved primarily within the Berlin Codex, it presents teachings attributed to Mary Magdalene in dialogue with the risen Christ.
Within the text, Mary is portrayed not simply as a follower, but as a recipient and interpreter of esoteric instruction. The surviving passages describe the soul’s ascent after death, the powers encountered along the way, and the role of inner understanding in overcoming fear and domination. These themes reflect concerns central to Gnostic cosmology rather than later doctrinal Christianity.
This edition is presented for study and reflection as part of Codex Reborn within The Vault. The text has been formatted for clarity, with minimal editorial intervention, in order to preserve the voice, symbolism, and theological character of the surviving manuscript.
